CONSTITUTION
The Constitution of the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group was amended at the AGM in April 2018
BCUSG DATA PROTECTION, PRIVACY AND COMMUNICATIONS POLICY
Bath Cancer Unit Support Group (BCUSG) take the privacy of our supporters and volunteers very seriously. This policy states how we collect data, how we store it, how we use it and how those who give us their details can request that their data is used by BCUSG.
EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY POLICY
Policy statement
The Bath Cancer Unit Support Group (known as “BCUSG” for the purpose of this and other policies) believes that, in fulfilling its aims and objectives, it is committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all and to ensuring that no individual is discriminated against in the planning and delivery of any of our activities.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT POLICY
This policy has been adopted in an attempt to safeguard the assets of the BCUSG so far as possible and to provide clear procedures for controlling the finances of the Charity. They may not be exhaustive. Vigilance is needed at all times from all concerned with finance, both volunteers and Trustees, and any matters of concern should be discussed with the Chair or Treasurer, as appropriate.
HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Policy statement
The Bath Cancer Unit Support Group (known as “BCUSG” for the purpose of this and other policies) believes that, in fulfilling its legal responsibilities, the Trustees have overall responsibility for health and safety of its volunteers.
VOLUNTEERING POLICY
As a charity, the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group (BCUSG) has no paid employees which ensures, on average 90-95% of funds raised are put into providing facilities and help for the Cancer Unit at the RUH in Bath. The hospital serves a wide area, covering Bath and the surrounding towns and villages in North East Somerset and West Wiltshire.
CASH HANDLING POLICY
This document describes the procedures and policies when collecting and handling cash donations.
APPEALS POLICY
The Trustees wish to set out in a policy document our approach to the monies raised in our various appeals. Many donations and fund raising events are to produce funds for general use towards funding requests from RUH. On the other hand some monies are raised for specific appeals. It is the latter which we wish to clarify.
Insurance
The Charity has appropriate insurance to cover volunteers whilst engaged in activities promoted by the Charity and for those who serve in any shops run by local branches. The Charity is not responsible for insurance of specific activities, such as skydiving, where appropriate individual insurance must be arranged with the activity provider.
The Charity does not provide motor insurance for its volunteers and it is very important that your insurance company includes use of your vehicle for volunteering within the insured uses.
