Westbury Bucket Collection Raises Over £440 for Bath Cancer Unit Support Group
Published: 11th September 2025
Westbury, Wiltshire – September 2025 – On Friday, 5th September, volunteers from the Trowbridge branch of the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group (BCUSG) held a bucket collection at Morrisons in Westbury, raising an impressive £443.34 to support cancer services at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.
The event carried special significance as it coincided with International Charity Day, a global occasion dedicated to recognising the vital role that charitable organisations and individuals play in their communities.
BCUSG extends its heartfelt thanks to Morrisons Westbury and their customers for their generosity and support, which made this collection such a success. Funds raised will help BCUSG provide vital equipment, enhanced facilities, and services that fall outside NHS funding—improving both treatment and care for local cancer patients.

From our chairman.
Thank you for visiting The Bath Cancer Unit Support Group website. The Charity is run entirely by volunteers, meaning there are no paid staff.
Approximately 95% of all monies raised goes straight into equipment and resources of the Cancer Departments at the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
The other 5% is spent on vital administration costs. During the past 33 years, our enthusiastic volunteers have raised over £6 million.
