Thank You, Sue, for 17 Years of Outstanding Service

May 28th  2026

Sue has been a Trustee for 17 years and has served as Secretary for the past three years.

She worked in the Cancer Unit for 29 years, most recently as a Macmillan Haematology Nurse Specialist. Her extensive knowledge of the unit and its staff has been invaluable to the Trustees throughout her time with the charity.

Sue has also played an important role in organising the volunteers who provide tea and coffee in the Cancer Unit waiting area, and she continues to give her own time as one of those volunteers.

Over the years, she has undertaken tremendous work on behalf of the Trustees, including organising the annual Donors’ Evening at RUH for the past three years. This is a major undertaking, yet under Sue’s careful organisation the event has run smoothly and successfully every year.

Like all excellent secretaries, Sue has ensured that things progress efficiently, effectively, and often quietly behind the scenes.

Her experience, dedication, knowledge, and hard work will be greatly missed by the Trustees.

Thank you, Sue, for your remarkable contribution and years of service.
