Dan Conley organised an event to celebrate the release of his second book about the Royal Navy’s submarine service. Having served as a captain of both diesel and nuclear submarines, Dan shared his experiences with the audience.
Around 90 people attended the event, and through ticket sales and book purchases, they helped raise nearly £2,000 for BCUSG. Dan generously covered the cost of an initial drink and some canapés, ensuring the fundraising goal was met.
During the event, Dan gave a brief talk in a Q&A format, discussing both the book and his Navy career. Mike Taylor, Chairman of BCUSG, also spoke, providing an overview of the projects that the funds raised will support.
The evening was a resounding success and thoroughly enjoyable for all involved.
