Published: 20th March 2026

Since last April, Graham Horn has served as Seniors Captain at Chippenham Golf Club — and throughout his captaincy year he has been raising money at a range of club events for a cause close to his heart.

Our Chairman Michael Taylor collected the cheque from Graham Horn, who is Senior Captain of Chippenham Golf Club. He raised £2925.75 during his captaincy year. The cheque handover was at their AGM at the Golf Club on 12 March.

The Bath Cancer Unit Support Group Golf Day will take place at Chippenham Golf Club on 5 June 2026. Graham is hoping to enter a team and participate in the event.

If you are interested in taking part and entering a team, further details can be found on the Annual Charity Golf Day page of our website here.

He has chosen to donate the funds raised to the Supporting the Children’s Centre Building Project, led by the Bath Cancer Unit Support Group.

The project aims to raise £495,000 to deliver vital improvements to facilities for children and young people undergoing cancer treatment in Bath. While the NHS provides essential care, developments like this rely on charitable fundraising.

You can read more about the project here.

Thanks to Graham’s dedication — and the generous support of Chippenham Golf Club members — the fundraising will help BCUSG move closer to its goal and enhance the environment for young patients and their families at a critical time in their lives.
